At Lingo we believe that learning and play combined are one of the most fundamental stepping stones in a child’s life. Kids are after all programmed to play. Their imaginations and curiosity should always be addressed and satisfied. Here at Lingo we aim to do just this by helping children interact with their environment in a number of different ways.
Lingo has a number of different areas and activities bearing in mind the age specific learning requirements and skills development of your child. These areas and activities include:

Role Play
Role play provides children with the opportunity to be active and engage in everyday roles that they have observed from adults. Through role play they learn decision making skills and gain the ability to act in a completely different way to their usual surroundings. It helps them to solve problems and interact with other children in a different way to what they usually would. They gain confidence and gain valuable communication and language skills through playing and interacting with their peers.
At Lingo we have a number of different role play opportunities. Your child will love playing in our custom made role play houses. We have a café and bakery, supermarket, pet rescue and hospital. Provided inside is a number of different costumes for your child to dress up in and really let their imaginations grow.
Soft Play Area
Our soft play area is a great space for your little ones to get all there energy out. It also helps develop many skills such as balance, coordination, and problem solving. Not only this but it is a great way for your child to socialise and make friends.
Arts and Crafts
Here children can get messy and explore the vast opportunities that being creative can offer young minds. We encourage children to be hands on and get involved by using a variety of different shapes, textures and materials. For younger children we offer sensory play session so that they can get used to the different textures and feelings of materials. For older children we focus on them enhancing their own artistic abilities by encouraging them to use their imaginations.
This area also allows children to develop their fine motor skills, which is fundamental area of their learning. They do this by handling different objects and using them to prick, thread, touch, and mould. They also learn the invaluable skill of hand eye coordination through enhancing different skills such as painting and drawing. Through arts and crafts Lingos relaxing atmosphere allows children to develop their own self-expression and decision making skills.
Music and Dance
Music and dance allow children to enhance their development and learning in a number of different ways. They gain valuable communication and language skills by learning to follow instructions and routines. They also gain lots of physical skills by jumping and copying movements, this in turn helps them with their hand eye coordination and self-awareness. Music and dance can also encourage children to build relationships and develop their confidence in social situations.
Mummy and me classes
Lingo is a place for new mums to come together. We know how challenging those first years can be and making mummy friends is super important. We will offer special coffee mornings for mums to attend to meet like minded mothers. We also aim to offer sensory classes, baby massage classes and music classes among others that will all be taught by trained professionals.
